Saturday, August 2, 2008--2:12 PM Wheee-oooh. A news post. One to let youse guys know I'm not yet dead. Horray, and stuff, yes? Eh, you don't care. So, the only thing I've done since that last news post was fix the date. I'd set the year at 2007 instead of 2008. ^_^;; Heh. Hideyori was all for me leaving the date wrong to fuck with people, but, I figured we'd do well not to look more defunct than we are. Of course, I'm still typing a new random update thing. So, I'm done with work for the summer. My last day was July 31st. ^_^ Joy. My boss gave me a cake, it was adorable. The cake was too sugary for my taste, but I really appreciated the gesture, it was so sweet. So, yeah, that, and Hide showed up just before it was time for me to clock out, and that was awesome...they don't usually visit me. In fact, they've only tried once...^_^ and that time I was hanging out with our friend Mer while she worked in one of the stores across they way, so we never met. *shrug* But that's the way it goes. So, I finished working, and got my wisdom teeth taken out yesterday. That was fun. I'm not really sore at all, and that's after not taking my pain-killers today. I still feel kinda out of it, but that's probably a combination of the 12 hours of sleep I got, not moving around enough, and still being a bit malnourished after not being able to eat anything except jello and chicken stock yesterday. Plus I think my mouth's still bleeding a bit, so everything gets combined with the blood taste. I don't mind the taste of blood, but it doesn't taste good with eggs. Just thought you might be curious. So, in actual site news, I've finished the most recent page, though I've been waiting to put it up until the next page is inked. Really, it's the page I'm in the process of inking that's played a large role in comic stopping. It's all stuff that relies on interaction with the background, and that's always a bit daunting to tackle. Still, with the exception of two panels (which are rough sketches I intend to redo once the inking of everything else is done), the page is fully penciled. I've started inking, and hopefully will do more today. So, horray and stuff. Also, just to get this out of the way now, I'm going on family vacation to Florida again on the fifth, won't be back 'til the twelfth. 'Course, then I leave for Southern on the sixteenth, and the first day of class is the eighteenth. Good times, good times.

Saturday, July 19, 2008--12:06 AM *walks in, looks about, dusts things off, chases crickets* Well, then. Hi. It's been a bit since last anything happened here. Shiiitt...May? Shiiiiit!!! Well, I did do stuff today, but for the moment, something presses greater on my mind. See, after I did the stuff I did (one of these things was simply to change the main headers' alignments from left to center...'course then I started going through all the comic pages to make the headers look all pretty), when I was checking all the pages to make sure nothing looks shitty, or broken, due to the stuff I did, I ended up reading some of the old site archives. Some of them are bad memories...especially since the two people I talked about most back in the spring of 2006 (which is the time of most of the archives I was reading) are the two people I no longer talk to, and in varying degrees feel betrayed by. Still, the archives themselves are fun to read, and have made a few things blatantly obvious. One, the archives now suck. They're boring, they have no personality, there's not purpose to them, really, other than to say: "Oh, hey, this happened." Most of the time, they're a sentence long, and that sentence isn't even anything worth reading. So, I'm going to talk here more. I was sorta trying to avoid this being a sort of Tsuki-blog, but in all actuality, that's sorta the way it used to be, and that was fun, both to read and to write. I'm a huge proponent of keeping histories. This is a terribly good way to do that. Because even when the good memories get twisted, it's worthwhile to remember how much fun you had before things got fucked. The other thing made so terribly obvious by these archives, is that I've lost a lot of my enthusiasm. Now, take this as you will, be it my "growing up" (ack, scary), the need for my energies to be diverted to other things (true to an extent, but not enough to make up for all the change), sheer laziness (hehe) or simply getting burnt-out (I am tired). I suppose it's simply a combination of these factors. That and I've just allowed my energy to decrease to a lower, less manic level (though it's still pretty manic...I suppose the mania's getting re-directed). Um, I don't know where I'm going with this, my train of thought kinda crashed into a brick wall. Ah, well, right, another point: as far as the burnt-out-ness goes, I don't think it's there yet. I'm worn, but not to a point of badness. ^_^ The funny shit is that I get a lot more good sleep now than I ever did back then. 'Course, I have this penchant for doing ridiculously meticulous, anal coding when I'm sleep-deprived. Don't ask why, I don't have a clue. So, I dunno. I suppose my focus is becoming more split. I'm pursuing more things, and as such am not obsessively working on the same things I did two years ago. 'Course, now I'm not finishing anything...blar. Whatever, fuck it, I'll come back to this discussion, or not...shit, I did not see the irony of that switch until just now..."irony" really is an often ill-used word... Anyway, I changed the header stuff I mentioned before, and also tweaked the filler section of GA, so that the "first" and "most recent" buttons stay within the filler itself, making it into a separate entity within the comic, sorta. Yep, good times.

Drawing class is kinda kicking my ass lately, I've got a shitload of work to do before the thirtieth. On top of that, I got pretty behind after Spring Break, since I didn't prepare for it properly, or work the way I should've then. Blargh. I'm so stupidly tired tonight. But yeah. I think I'm gonna put GA on hiatus until the first Tuesday of May, to give me time to work through the homework shit, and hopefully build a comic buffer. Blargh. Rar.

Thursday, December 27, 2007--11:41 PM So, here I am on a family trip to Florida once again (please note, the time of this post is Illinois time, since my computer clock doesn't change, and that's what I look at--not Florida)--and bored out of my mind. Since I occasionally get pretty damn productive when I'm bored, this can be a good thing...course, that's not to say in what direction my productivity will go. So, bearing that in mind, we gots two new videos in the video gallery. Ninja Transform starring Suitcase Murphy, and Suitcase in Bucket also starring Suitcase Murphy. Additionally, I played around with Omega Z's Belly Dance, and I'm in the process of adding a third new video. I'm not sure when I'll finish putting it up, but it's uploading as I type this. Nyar. Keep in mind the next GSG has been uploaded for...near a month now and I still haven't put it up. Nyar. So, that's what I'm up to right now.

Monday, September 17, 2007--11:46 AM ZOMG! A new page of Girl - Seeking - Girl is up now! Yepyep, fun times. So, yeah. I finished that last night, during a power outage in my building. See, at about five or so, the lights in my room, they flicked off, then came back on, all wavering, and no internets working. So, later, when I'm all leaving for my good friend Jill's birthday party, I find out from the Head Resident of the dorm that the whole building was currently running on a generator, and that said generator would be out of power in three hours. Naturally, by the time I get back from the party, the whole building is black as pitch. ^_^ They had a few lanterns set up strategically throughout the hallways and in the bathrooms, but still, no power. So, that was fun. 'Course, at this point, it was about nine o'clock, and I didn't want to go to bed yet. ^_^ So I packed up my shit, hauled my ass to the Student Center, and had both page twelve of GSG and page thirty seven of GA done by eleven. ^_^ Hehe, "Thirty-seven!?" ^_^ "eleven..." Yatta. So, yes. So goes my wonderful story. Group Anthrax will go up on Thursday, as I try to, yanno, get back to a schedule again. Blah.

Tuesday, February 20, 2007--11:33 PM ^_^ The fifth Girl - Seeking - Girl is up now! ^_^ So, yeah, w00t for that. Also, I've been considering bringing Group Anthrax out of hiatus early. I miss doing it, and posting it. Thing is, it takes a lot of time and work. It seems like I'm really excited to work when I'm in the penciling and inking stages, but by the time I'm halfway through shadows and highlights, I'm really sick of the whole thing, and still looking at at least another hours' worth of work. ^_^;; But, I think I'm gonna bring it back early anyway. GA's tentative return date will be set for this Saturday, February 24. ^_^ Yay GA!

The funny thing is, I forgot to post comic, because I was editing the site! ^_^;; How lame am I! ^_^ Haha, so, as for what I was doing last night, I edited my gallery...copiously. Actually, I sorta built a new one, sorta...anyway, is cool. ^_^ So, yeah, check it out! Hah! Now I've got to do the same for the Invasion and Photo galleries. FUN. Monday, February 12, 2007--12:36 AM ^_^ WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! NEW COMIC IS UUUUUUP! Ladies and gentlemen--though mostly gentlemen cuz that's the gender of most of those I know currently visit this site--I give you my brand spankin' new comic Girl - Seeking - Girl! ^_^ I've said it afore, and I'll hopefully not say it again, although in all likelihood will, indeed, end up repeating myself--this is the new tri-weekly strip-style comic I'll be running while I work to get a handle on Group Anthrax. GA'll be back once I've finished chapter one, at which point I'll start updating it again. At that point, I'll work on chapter two. Yeah, dunno how updates'll run once chapter one's finished, if I'll stop for chapter two, or will feel I've got sufficient bulk pages to simply continue. ^_^ Yep! So, yeah, new comic! ^_^ Should be fun!

For once I actually have news!!! ^_^ Yayz. ^_^ So, new page of The Adventures of Lundo and The Plaid is up! ^_^ Yay!!! ^_^ So, yeah, I suggest you read it. Also, I will be launching a new comic series this coming Monday. ^_^ It's called "Girl - Seeking - Girl", and it's a four-panel, strip-style comic which will be updated tri-weekly, Monday, Wednesday, Friday. ^_^ I hope you enjoy it, it's...pretty fun to make.

Sunday, February 4, 2007--9:28 PM Whoooooo...first Tsuki-update since the server change. ^_^ First GA page in awhile too. Yep. Woot! Yeah, I'm gonna put GA on hiatus for awhile, in favor of another comic I started on last night. It's just a four-panel thing I can do relatively quickly, called Girl - Seeking - Girl. So far, I've written five strips, and finished the first. Actually, that's the reason I went to bed at 3:30 last night...heh, it's funny, cuz I was "just gonna do this one thing real quick" at about 1:07...next thing I knew, it was 3:25. I'd thought it'd been about fifteen minutes, a half-hour... ^_^;; Heh. And that's how Tsuki doesn't sleep.

Monday, December 4, 2006--10:15 PM ^_^ Not a huge deal, but I've been going through the pages of GA, and changing all the fonts to a common one. ^_^ Yepyep, because, my handwriting's kinda hard to read, and I don't like the font I'd used for the first several pages. Also, Omega Z, I don't mean to nitpick, but unless we get some scripts for the next several pages done soon, I won't be able to get any pages up over winter break. I won't have my scanner up there.

Saturday, November 25, 2006--2:26 AM ^_^ So, page twenty-two is up for Group Anthrax! ^_^ Yay us! ^_^ I'm happy, two updates, two weeks in a row...God I hope that's not a record so far. Please tell me I've done better than that! ^_^ Haha, it's funny tho'. I realized the other day that I chose GA's launch really, really poorly, being right before Thanksgiving, originally. I was doomed not to update over Christmas, even tho' I'd tried. So, right from the start, we were rocky. Then I couldn't take the look of the comic, and the redux began, and ultimately the re-write, but before that, it took me how long to get page four up? That was all a result of dead computers and switching from PC to Mac and not having Photoshop (or any image-editing software with which I could enter text), but still, it was a really frustrating time, full of finished page (well, nearly finished), and nothing to do with it. I...don't remember if I worked ahead at that time, either. Probably not. But still, that was a hugely big time for me, it's kinda amazing that GA didn't die then. Hell, it's amazing that I don't remember really considering killing the project either (whether I did or not is dubious, I just don't remember). Group Anthrax has survived some crazy shit. ^_^ Hah, but here we are, at only twenty-two canon pages!

Friday, November 3, 2006--4:00 PM ^_^;; Well, I did put an update up for Group Anthrax...but it is another Omake Theatre. I just didn't get page twenty one done in time, and am now getting swamped by projects. Hopefully, I'll get at least one actual page update up next week, but at this point, what I'm really focusing on is my college shit. Monday, October 2, 2006--11:22 AM ^_^;; Heh-heh. So, page twenty of GA isn't up yet. Nooo...instead, a filler page using the school project I stayed up doing last night. Soo...yeah. Um, I'm thinking of downgrading from one actual comic-post on Wednesdays and one fill-page Sundays. Yeah, so, comment, tell me what you think as far as that goes. I'm only gonna be able to do one actual page update per week (unless I do something like put up the page with just my original pencil-sketches with only borders and speech-boxes done up nice). So, the question is, do you want an extra-page-thingy and one actual page, or just the actual page? Discuss.

It's nearly done now, just have highlights and background for the last panel to do. ^_^;; I've been doing it all with my tablet, not something I'll be doing again, but good to try. From here on, I think I'm gonna sketch it in pencil, then finish it via the computer. I'll also start doing them in color now, too. It's honestly the same amount of work for me to color as to use greyscale now, so, w00t.

Friday, September 1, 2006--6:36 PM HAPPY ZIM DAY!!! No, seriously, I'm not joking. It's Zim Day. Also known as Jhonen Vasquez's birthday, which, in the commentary of the Invader Zim DVDs, he calls "Zim Day". ^_^ So yeah. Happy birthday, JCV, we worship you as our god! ^_^ Special thanks to Lundy, for reminding me of this momentous date. Um, in site news, page fifteen will definately be up by Sunday, and I may even get a chance to get a bit ahead in my comicmaking. I typed that as one word on purpose, you know. In other news, WHY DO I LIKE THIS COMIC SO DAMN MUCH!? Yeah, it's called Undead Friend, and is created by NJ Huff. It's about this guy, who meet this ghost and consents to being her friend, only to discover that to be a ghost's "friend" has different connotations...^_^ like periodically changing into a zombie to fight other ghosts and their friends for territory. ^_^ Yep. The art is...not really up to the level I look for, but I really like the characters, and their designs. BUT WHY AM I SO OBSESSED WITH THIS SERIES? I may never know...but I can read it again and again...

Tuesday, August 29, 2006--10:40 PM ^_^ So, the Group Anthrax stand-in page by Shadowgoddess (by the lovely Shadowgoddess) is now up. Don't whine that, "Oh, it's eaaaarrrrrrllllly...", I dun wanna wait an hour and twenty minutes for it to officially be Wednesday. ^_^ Haha, I haven't talked about that sorta thing since the Shorts! ^_^ Funnyfunny. So, page fifteen is coming along, and...yeah. I've...worked on my homework...^_^ haha, actually, the homework for my drawing class is done, I'll finish the stuff for my "Foundation Studio A" class as soon as I finish this news post, and I've done my initial sketches for the CatalystSwitch art-trade I've got going, so that I should be into pretty well soon. ^_^ Depending on how much sleep I get. Aww, don't worry, I don't have classes Fridays, so all my weekends are long. ^_^ Actually, we have Monday off next week too. I don't have to suffer sleep-deprivation! YAAAYYY!!! Well, that be more so if my roomate didn't like to come in at seven AM...^_^ that's okay, I sleep after that.
