First Furry

^_^ Alright, so, no, this isn't the first furry I ever drew...I drew Sonic for years, and started years before I ever conceived of this drawing. This is just the first furry I ever designed myself. ^_^;; Basically, this is the pre-runner to Tsuki...but I really hated this drawing when I first did it. Well...I hated the character. She ended up way to happy and preppy looking for me: ^_^ lesson learned, just because you color it black, doesn't mean it's gonna look "dark". ^_^ Haha. I also learned with this pic not to design black-furred characters...and then I decided: "fuck it", when I went back to designing Tsuki in anthro form. Cuz, remember, for quite awhile, she was much more human-looking.
^_^ Actually, here's the story of Tsuki's character development:
Years ago, I wrote a story called "Yokai no Yume", "demon's dream". This was supposed to be a cute shojo ai (this was before I learned that the term "yuri" actually encompasses both what's called "shojo ai" over here and the porn. Hear that? It's not separated like "shonen ai/yaoi". The term "shojo ai" is an American creation.) between the anthropomorphic fox-demon Tsuki, and a girl named "Nozomi", "wish". It was pretty poorly written, and not really my style at all, as I was trying to emulate "Mewteos", of Mewteos.com. Don't get me wrong, I still like 'Teos' stuff, it was just a bad idea for me to try and emulate her. Well, as events progressed, I, of course, decided to draw the characters. And this...led to me deciding that Tsuki should take her "more human" form, of just having fox ears, tail, and wings...and to me hating Nozomi. So, the plot and story changed, as did the feel. As a result, the first few chapters didn't quite sync with what I began doing. And then I read Jhonen Vasquez's Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. And went raging fangirl. So, the entire happy, energetic feel of the story pissed me off, but I still liked Tsuki, and a few other characters I'd written, at the time called Kisama ((you) asshole), Kurai (dark (adjective)), and Boki-boki (erection-erection (^_^ hehe)).
So, the story underwent a re-vamp, and re-write. Under the name "Demon's Dream", the translation of the old title, it continued on. It was to work on an idea I'd come up with while making Death Dealer, involving, naturally, dealing death. This whole segment was short-lived, when I found myself in a world that needed explanation, and characters with whom I was having problems justifying exposition...and some ideas that were more half-formed than I'd realized.
At that point, the story's evolution returned so some of the plot points I'd had in mind for it's "Yokai no Yume" incarnation. At this point, I didn't really have much of a name. I'd wanted to call it "Shadow's Fall"...but then I realized that there was already a band by that name. So, I continued down that avenue, and started writing it in comic format. Um, in some of the older pages, various references to "the comic with a plot" are actually referring to this incarnation of my idea. Again, I was still using many of the same characters, and at this point, my view of the "demon world" really matured and solidified, and changed. A lot of ideas that will eventually be a part of Group Anthrax were conceived in this story, and a lot of ideas I'd previously had were weeded out. This incarnation got culled as a result of being too much of a godmode, but, it was getting closer.
Finally, Group Anthrax was born. GA's actually had two re-writes, not just the one. It's just that, for the second re-write, I had already made pages and put them on the internet. Mmmyep. That's it for now, cuz I'm out of time...
