Group Anthrax, Updates Happen
^_^ Yay! Group Anthrax! This webcomic, made by me, Flickerfly Zare! ^_^;; Um, the first ten pages are redux, and for this version, a re-write happened after page six. You can see the original pages in my gallery. I'm gonna eat you. Updates go up officially at some time on Tuesdays, probably the evening, but you really never know.
Group Anthrax, Chapter Two: Awaken,
Page Sixteen: What the Shit, Indeed?
Monday, December 15, 2008--10:18 PM
OMIGOD PAGE! A MONTH AFTER THE LAST ONE!!! ZOMG!!! Yeah, and there's prolly not gonna be another one for yet another month, as I am on winter break now, and away from my scanner. And I did no preparation for this. On the bright side, I'll be able to actually interact with the guys I write this with. Yes, guys. All guys. I be the only girl. Mmmyep.
SO! Originally, this page was gonna be called, What the Shit, Indeed? Who is This Girl, and Why is She Flipping Out? I Know, but You Don't...but I saw how the excessively long page title pans out with page 21 of Girl - Seeking - Girl. Yeah, doesn't look that nice in the header. So, I stayed off from that. Eh. So, now it's just: What the Shit, Indeed?. Mmmyep. *shrug*
DUDE! Fucking pisses me off! So, I changed my palette, to try and find colors that would stay true when the files go online, with few exceptions, the flesh, hair, and eye colors, along with the color I use for jeans (a few other shades as well), the colors are all, according to Photoshop, "web safe". AND THEY'RE STILL GETTING ALL WASHED OUT AND SHIT! What the fuck!? This is really pissing me off. Blah. I really don't know. So bloody frustrating. I really have no idea why this is happening. Annoying as hell.
^_^ Hehe, the last three paragraphs have started with capital letters, whoo. Erm, whole words capitalized, that is. Right, page. In the original cut of this script, we were gonna follow this girl around a bit more after this page, with her revelation and everything, but...I've had a lot of trouble working through this segment. A lot of that, I think, is that I didn't write any of it. I just organized it, cut the fluff, and put it together, but had no part in the actual creative process of it. And...that made it hard for me to care. I sorta have a love-hate relationship with this bit. It's one of the segments where the comic starts leaning towards a more serious bend...but that's not actually part of the feel I want for this thing. In fact, it's rather the opposite of what I wanted for this thing when I stared the project back in 2005. Yeah, I missed our birthday again this year. I missed GSG's birthday too, but it's significantly less important. ^_^ I mean, GSG's only had 5 updates all year. Not that I haven't done anything with it, it's just not had many pages get finished and updated--rather, there's a bunch for that queued up, waiting to be finished--but that's GSG. What was I saying, again? Oh, right, the feel of this bit. Yeah, there was some decided lack of communication here, and it greatly affected where the current writing's been going, which...is so far beyond where the comic's at, it's pretty stupid. ^_^;; Heh, heh...anyway. 'Course, I can only blame myself, for not explaining. Argh. So, yeah.
Her shirt lost the plaid between the last page in this one. I didn't wanna put it in, and it'd looked shitty anyway. Yep. I'm surprised I don't have a plaid stamp. Be easier, and look better. ^_^ I also like how the dialogue ended up being "Dialogue (or, monologue, I guess)," then "DIALOGUE (OR, MONOLOGUE, I GUESS)!" ^_^ It amused me, making this page.
^_^ As always, the date on the comic is the date it was finished, not necessarily the date it was posted.
