Group Anthrax, Page 10, Version 1
Thursday, January 26, 2006--11:23 AM
I swear, this was going to be up at about six last night! I finished the page, uploaded it, and was writing the blurb about it when, suddenly, my computer shoved it's metaphorical boot up my ass. It wouldn't start up properly until about 10:30...and I had just finished writing the page itself--when my computer crapped out...AGAIN! So, yeah. I'm putting this up for everyone's viewing plesure now.
Right. This is really, really late. My computer dying was not the least of the reasons that this is not up on time...saaa, like so many of the other more recent pages. It's simply far too much strain to try and put out these pages bi-weekly, and balance it with school, family shit, friends, computer failure, and any number of other random elements I have going on at any given time. At least at this point in time. So, I'm going to cut this comic back to one page update per week. It'll give me a chance to, y'know, not kill myself on getting one page out, that I can't get the second done on time. So, starting this week (not including page ten, here) new pages will go up on Friday evenings, anywhere from 11 PM-2 AMish. Probably around there. Maybe earlier or later, but thar-ish.
This page...I made this page differently. There was no pre-scan inking on this, it was digitalized straight from the pencil lines. So...w00t. I inked it in Photoshop, using the paint brush tool. I utilized the ability to have different layers more in this one as well. Not counting speech bubbles and text layers, the Photoshop document had three layers for the whole thing, instead of my usual, one. So, yeah, that turned out pretty well. Layers are now my friend. I need to work on my backgrounds, still. These are yucky. Very boring. Yes...
EDIT: Special thanks to Jhonen Vasquez (damn that sounds presumptuous), Parker's skin tone was gleaned from a screenshot of Invader Zim's Gaz.
EDITEDIT: ^_^;; Parker's skin is really yellow...
Also, Tsuki's markings are lighter now. They didn't show up well (except on my too-light shitty laptop screen) before.
