Well, I'm feeling better this morning...tho' I guess it's not morning anymore, is it? Well, anyway, I feel better than I did when I was late for the Short.
So, I've started to go back through all the old Shorts to re-size them to one that actually fits a computer screen, and to type in all the diologue. Heh, so, Tsuki's Shorts twenty-seven through thirty three are typed and ready. I might have gotten further, but I just realized that I'm going to have to re-scan everything before these. Saa...ah, well. At least they'll be really neat when I've finished.
I know I said that there would be three Shorts centering around Lerxst in a row, but this third one isn't written effectively. It's still funny, so I'll be putting the script up in Tsuki's Cutoffs, but I'm going to jump in my order of Shorts written for the next one. I'm probably not making much sense. Oh well.

Shit. Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. No, this is not "The Shit Song". I am truely sorry. Two weeks in a row in which I'm late with the Shorts. This is unacceptable. Even worse, this Short is four and a half hours late, on top of having a shitty background. I'm sorry. Ugh, need sleep...
In other news, I put copyrights 'n' stuff on a buncha stuff. All the Invasions and everything in Lerxst's Gallery, so far. Why am I procrastinating on my own work? 'Cuz there's a fuckin' shitload of it. I need sleep. Yeah, that's all for now.

Blurg, I do these update things a lot, despite the fact that no one reads them. Ah, well.
So, last night a bunch of stuff happened that made this, the Dark Wind Studios website, more 1337. Ashy tweaked my css and tagboard, and made it all prettyful. ^_^ Yay!!! I'm very happy about this. So...I also used the code for the drop bar that Ashy gave me, and put drop bars in my gallery; one for the traditional artwork, and one for my bad photography. Also, there's a new addition to my gallery. It was just a quick little thing I made, but, meh, I needed to put something new in there. I have some stuff that I need to scan, too...so there should be more crap in the gallery...eventually. Meh, whatever. So lazy...
Oh, right. I also added a "Comments" section to the little bios on the staff page, so, check it out. If you didn't find my brand of humor vaugly amusing, you wouldn't be here, so who knows, maybe the stuff I wrote about the Dark Wind Studios staff members will make you shit yourself. It's worth a shot, anyway.
I'm behind on the Short, again. So...I think I'm gonna go work on that. Mmmyep. This week's is another one that Lerxst was pivital to the creation of. Yay Lerxst!

A short update, because I've been slacking.
Major thanks goes to Kioko-chan/Ashy. She put a dropbar in on the Shorts page. Very, very cool. This way, the page doesn't get endlessly long with my icky text links. The is really really awesome. Thank you so much, Ashy. You've helped with this site so much. Without you, I'd still have that aweful Freewebs-provided layout. Domo arigato gozaimasu!!!
Whoa, I actually do have other stuff worth saying to put here. I'm not sure how far I'll get in production, but I started writing a new comic based off my "adventures" working at Taco Bell tonight. If I do complete it, it'll still be a pretty short story...but I dunno. It's another thing with Tsuki as the pivital character. Damn, I need to write more stories that aren't so egotistical. I have ideas, they're simply underdeveloped. Saaa...need to work...
Wednesday, June 22, 2005--12:06 PM
Mmmyep. The entire purpose of this update is to tell you that I completely changed the Tsuki's Shorts page. And I mean completely. It just took too long to load, I mean, even with my new better internet connection it took ages for the page to finish pulling up all the Shorts, besides which there were always broken images. So, I killed the old page, and made a new version. This one features a thumbnail of the first panel of the current week's comic, as well as text links (I have no idea if that's what they're really called) to the other Shorts. Mmmyep. I like this format much better, the page looks much nicer. I really want to change the galleries too, but have no ideas on how to make them better, at the moment. Well, actually I do, it's just a lot of work. Meh. I'll do it anyway. But later. Not now.

*dodges Julie's angry mob* Wow...that was...wierd. Well, I'm really, really sorry for letting you down, guys. I was late for this week's Short, and I'm truely, deeply sorry. I was working on several projects this week, and the Short kinda got shafted to the back-burner...mostly because the projects I was working on had been there for awhile and I just wanted to get them done. Um, they're almost done now; two are works of fanart that I just have to put a few finishing touches on them and scan them, one is the script for the first chapter of a comic that I've been conceptualizing since about this time last year. That one still needs some work, but it's coming.
Yep. Well, I posted it on the Short, but I'll post it here, too. There will only be fifty installments of Tsuki's Shorts. No, I am not going to stop making comics. No, Dark Wind Studios is not going to die. I'm simply going to transition from making the Shorts to producing an actual webcomic with plot. See MegaTokyo to get an example of what I mean. It's the only webcomic I read, so to my mind, it's the epitimy of all things webcomic...a normal comic that happens to be on the internet. I really want to get this started as soon as possible. As soon as the first chapter is written, I plan to begin.
Well, that's really all for the moment. Mmmyep.
Saturday, June 18, 2005--5:33 PM
Ugh. I got bored, so I yoinked a pic from Kioko-chan/Ashy's site, Moonlight Kiss.net. The fanart of Sonic. So, yeah, there's a new Invasion. Urm...I think she gave me permission to use this pic the other day, when I hung out at her house, but to be perfectly honest, I don't really remember. So, if you didn't, Kioko-chan, I'm sorry, but if you did, thank you very much for letting me use your spiffy pic. I love the coloring on this one. So yeah, check it out.
TT_TT I want a domain name.
Friday, June 17, 2005--11:37 PM
Well, I'll state this now: this is going to be another of my pointless updates. I have done some work today to make this, the Dark Wind Studios site, more 1337, but to be perfectly honest, it's not really anything that anybody's going to stumble upon on their own and say, "wow, that's pretty cool". That having been said, I'm going to tell you what I did anyway.
The Archives page was too big. After all, it was glutted with three and a half month's worth of superfluous updates...like this. So, I broke it up by month. So, now there's Recent Archives, archives from March, archives from April, and archives from May. So, yeah. More Archives to come. Next month.
Only other thing that's even remotely worth saying here is that I started penciling the thirty-second Short today. I really have to start slacking on my Webmistressing so that I actually get my Artisting done. But, this Short will be ready by the Tuesday deadline. Hell, it might not even push the envelope by minutes. Wait...was that sentence coherent to anybody but me? Ah, well. Urm, I've got two good pieces of fanart going right now. One is fanart for Ashy/Kioko-chan's fanfic The Magic of Nintendo. ^_^;; Despite the fact that it's really a Mary-Sue, it's well written; I like the original characters. One was her brother, who gets mind-controlled via a spell. I really liked this scene, and happened to have my sketchbook in my lap, so I drew it. That's inked, and I just want to color it...not with the computer. I'm sick of that, for now. Anyway, the other piece of fanart is a fairly yaoi pic of Shadow and Tails. ^_^ It was inspired by the Def Leopard song, "Pour Some Sugar on Me". I like this pic so far. It's all penciled, I just need to ink it. Maybe I'll finish it with colored pencils, too. Dunno yet. Well, that's all for now.
Thursday, June 16, 2005--3:50 PM
You can now contact The Shadow Plushy directly! His e-mail is the_shadow_plushy@hotmail.com. He also has a website, Behind These Eyes of Plush. I'll be forcing him to post photos of himself in various poses and garb. YAY! ^_^ I really do have too much time on my hands. Ah, well. Remember, all fanmail should be sent to The Shadow Plushy.
Urm, I still want Invasions. Just e-mail me or post on the tagboard, and we'll work out all the details and crap. I'll take them from anyone, really. I have no stipulations whatsoever at the moment.
Thursday, June 16, 2005--11:41 AM
Heh, I probably should have made this particular update last night (well, early this morning...try two AM), but whatever.
^_^ Dark Wind Studios now has a staff page! Technically, I made it very, very early yesterday morning...one AM. Then I tweaked it some more very, very early this morning...'til two AM. ^_^ I highly advise checking it out. Not because of "all my hard work", or something like that...that's why I want people to look at the Shorts. This is just fun. Who knows, you might stumble upon someone you like. No, it is not just me on the staff. ^_^ I promise it's cool, so go check it out!
Tuesday, June 14, 2005--11:58 PM
HA! I made the Tuesday deadline for the Shorts! Barely. Bloog! BEWARE! So, right, I really like this one. I would have finished it sooner, but I let myself get preoccupied this week. There was my job...although I had three days off in a row to finish this...heh, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday...^_^;; Oh! Ironically, Taco Bell begins it's weeks on Tuesday as well. Isn't that creepy? The entire staff of Dark Wind Studios works for Taco Bell part-time, and both cooincidentally start their work-week on Tuesday! Well...maybe DWS ends its work-week on Tuesday...dunno.
^_^ Yeah, whenever I go somewhere, the entirety of Dark Wind Studios goes. Creepy, ne? Actually, that's just depressing. I really need a staff. Gonna have to make a staff page. So, that'll be me, Lerxst...urm...there's really not many people I could put up there. 'Cuz, Ashy's got Moonlight Kiss.net, Lem has Penguimation (sorry, I lost the URL), and that's really all the "regular" people who give me Invasions (subliminal message: give me more Invasions). Blurg. I want to recruit Liz. Her stuff rocks. Dunno. Sorry, this is more like a blog right now, isn't it? Ah, well. I'm gonna start that staff page.
Monday, June 13, 2005--9:22 PM
Hehe, new tagboard. This one should be prettier. Hrm...
Yeah...I really need to get going on that thirty-first Short. Still haven't finished inking the foreground. The background shouldn't be too bad, tho'. I hope. Mmmyep. I'm done here, for now...oh yeah! Almost forgot, I changed the nav bar too. Hope you like it. I do.
So much for "done", right? Urm, I'm not sure how much anybody actually reads these updates, but I'd like to issue a formal request here for more Invasions. Yeah. I needs them. Pweeeeeeaaaaaaase...? *shiny shojo eyes*
EDIT: I put another picture in my gallery. This one's of the Shadow plushie Ashy gave me! ^_^ So cute...
Sunday, June 12, 2005--12:31 AM
Urgh! I'm really getting behind. I haven't even finished inking the forground on the thirty-first Short. -_- Ugh. I'm still going to try and have it up Tuesday...it just might be really late on Tuesday. -_- I have no idea what to do for the background...
^_^;; Sorry, I'll stop pissing and moaning now. In the good news, I got my first paycheck ($46.81...it was for only three days of work...). Technically, if I don't go by the money I already have, I've already made more then half of what a table at Artist's Alley at The Reactor this October. Yeah, I actually did look into it. The cost is sixty dollars, and I have that. Just have to compose the e-mail requesting a table. Meh, I'll do that tomorrow.
In other news, I've been working on the script for the first chapter of a new comic. This one has a continuous plot. I wanna start penciling it as soon as possible, get it up here. If all goes well, the regular updates of this will take the place of what the Shorts are now. Mebbe someone'll get upset with me over that, but whatever. I think that once it gets rolling, you'll like it. Well, you'd better. Honestly, I want more material here then: "oh, it's another one-page, disjoint piece of shit." Especially if I spring for a table at Reactor. Meh, well, that's all for now. It's almost one. I've been awake for about ninteen hours now. Ja.
Thursday, June 9, 2005--12:59 PM
Well, this is the rather pointless update I wanted to make at about 2 AM last night, but couldn't because AOL reset my connection for the sixth time in one night.
Heh, actually the original version of this update was lost forever, but the general gist of it was that Tsuki's Shorts number thirty-one is completely penciled. It's a lot more brutal than what has been the norm for these Shorts...even though it's more like what I'd imagined would be the idea behind the majority of them when I first started to make the Shorts into a sort-of series. Is this making any sense? Well, I've gotta go!
Wednesday, June 8, 2005--9:23 PM
*bangs head against wall*, *bangs head against wall*, *bangs head against wall*, *bangs head against wall*.
-_- This is the fourth time tonight that AOL has reset my connection. It's the second time that AOL has reset my connection while I was attempting to make this update. It's official. I hate AOL, and AOL hates me.
I'm actually writing this in Notepad right now. Because AOL is a piece of shit, pwned by Bush and other corperations of ebil. Beware it. It will steal your soul. It's trying to steal mine right now. It's winning.
I'd had some good shit written for this update, but it's gone now. Lost forever.
I apoligize for the depressing tone of this update, I'm just really frustrated right now. I was so happy, because I have this spiffy new layout that doesn't burn my eyes with its overly bright colors, and the thirty-first Short is coming along better than I had even anticipated...and then this happens.
I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but I'm sorry that Dark Wind Studios was down for much of today. Well, not so much "down" as...my front page was wrong. You see, the sample page for this new layout was named "index". Well, the front page for a Freewebs site ((any site, actually)) is supposed to be named "index". So I had two pages named "index", all at once. Last night when I pulled it up, Freewebs didn't give me any issues. The page it pulled up for Dark Wind Studios was the one I wanted, so I didn't think anything of it. As it turns out, I should have. I'm not sure how many people encountered the problem, but once again, I'm sorry. It was my own fault, for overlooking that particular issue.
...The last four paragraphs have begun with some form of the word, "I"...
About the new layout. It was designed by SnickerZ, I found it on Aethereality.net. Special thanks goes to Ashy-chan for directing me there. Domo arigato gozaimasu! So, the whole reason there's a link to SnickerZ's site on every page is because that's the terms for using her layout. Not too bad...but she's on a temporary hiatus, and her site's really, really empty. There's one page. It's a letter saying she's going on hiatus. Dated February. So yeah.
Another important...thing. I still want to make a layout of my own for Dark Wind Studios, but the installment of this one makes such a project slightly less urgent. Mmmyep. Still working on it tho'. I finished inking the image I want for the background last night. Still have nothing for the banner, tho'...
Should probably get to the blurb about Tsuki's Shorts thirty-one now, ne? Ah, but first: as I was writing this, my connection was "reset" by AOL again. That would be the fifth time tonight. Piece of shit.
But ah, the Short. I'm really happy with this so far. It's coming pretty quickly; panels one and two are almost completely penciled. I ended up adding an element to the Short that I hadn't anticipated. ^_^ It was inspired by my new job at Taco Bell! Hehe, I feel it really adds to the whole Short, very fun. 'Course, my sense of humor's a bit strange, so I'm not sure anyone'll agree. Ah, well. To each his or her own.
Tuesday, June 7, 2005--5:10 PM
Weeeellllll...it's still Tuesday. No, I haven't miraculously pulled another Short out of my ass in the past seventeen hours. I slept. Then I went to work. Bloog. But I did do some stuff here, and I'm planning stuff that's worth mention here.
A) All the images on the site, in Shorts, my Gallery, Invasions, Lerxst's Gallery, and even teh linkage have been centered. I can't believe how much better this makes the pages look. It's minor, but has a huge impact. I've been intending to center them for awhile, but I procrastinated, and it didn't get done. It was nowhere near as tedious as I had anticipated, tho'. So that made me happy.
B) Also, I intend to make a new layout for this lovely...thing...that is Dark Wind Studios. Yes, I love the I.N.V.A.D.E.R. Z.I.M. layout, but it doesn't fit the purpose of this site. It sends the wrong message to any random veiwers. I'd rather show what my own art looks like, not someone else's images of GIR. So, yeah. So far, I have a general idea of what I want to do. Whether it'll turn out or not is beside the point. Still...I have the sketch of the background image uploaded here. I still have plenty of work to do on it, and have to start a banner completely. Well, it should be pretty fun, ne? Well, that's all for now.
Tuesday, June 7, 2005--12:26 AM
Wheeee!!! It's Tuesday, and you know what that means...Tsuki's Shorts number thirty is now available!!! Yeah, the thumbnail for it looks really shitty, but the actual comic makes me very, very happy.
While I was writing the blurb for number thirty, I realized that I've been making Shorts for approximately a year now. I started them at the beginning of last summer, and now it's the beginning of a new one. I can't believe that this has been going on for so long. When I made the first Tsuki's Short, I had no idea that there would even be a second, let alone twenty-nine others, and another several already written.
I'll admit it tho', I'm also a bit ashamed that in the year I've been making these, there are only thirty Shorts. That's kinda really unacceptable. Well, I'm upping it to at least once a week. Hopefully by this time next year I'll be able to put out at least two per week. 'Tho' I'd really like it to be more. Well, that's all for now. Ja, matta ne!
Monday, June 6, 2005--11:32 PM
Hehe, I am silly. So, Tsuki's Shorts number thirty is not completely complete. It's even uploaded. But I'm not going to post it until Tuesday has officially began. So, whether I end up staying up and online for the next half-hour, or putting it up after I get home from work (at Taco Bell) tomorrow still remains to be seen. I'm very happy with this Short, tho'. It's the first one with a proper background since Short twenty four. So, yeah. I like this. And I know that I couldn't have pulled it off a year ago, which is really nice to know. That I've improved so much, I mean. Now if I could only follow through on an actual storyline...
Oh, I'm home now, by the way. In case you couldn't tell.
Saturday, June 4, 2005--12:54 AM
A little over an hour later, and I still haven't gotten offline to work on the Short. I did, however, make a new section for this site. It's called Tsuki's Cutoffs, and it's where I've posted the scripts of Shorts that never actually made the cut (hehe, a pun). I rather like the wordplay, cutoffs vs. shorts. ^_^ Works nicely, ne? Well, that's all for now. I probably won't be able to update anything for the rest of the weekend, I'm going to Indiana for a family thing. Sorry that I didn't give you much of a warning in advance...I completely forgot, myself.
Friday, June 3, 2005--11:30 PM
^_^ As of today, I'm "Kuraitsuki" (as opposed to "Akaitsuki"). Mebbe this is a dumb move on my part, but whatever. I needed the change. Right. So, I'm no longer "red moon"...I'm "dark moon". I'm still Tsuki, tho', so it really hasn't changed. Not essentually.
Why the pseudonym? I despise my given name with a vengeful passion, so, a lot. I don't want to be stuck with it for the rest of my life, I intend to legally change it once I get out of college...not when I turn eighteen, I still want my parents to pay tuition, but eventually. Hopefully by then, I'll have settled on a surname.
In news more pertinent to Dark Wind Studios, Short number thirty is nearing completion. I started inking the foreground tonight. I really like how this is coming, and I think you will too. To be perfectly honest, I was worried at the start of this, I wasn't sure that I could execute it well enough. It contains a more action-based idea than anything I've done since I first started the Shorts, and the particular Short I'm talking about was aborted because I was unable to execute it effectively. This, however, is shaping up quite well, and has one of the best layouts I've done yet. That having been said, perhaps I should turn my attention to its completion, ne?
Thursday, June 2, 2005--10:48 PM
Ugh...so tired...I just spent about three hours fixing HTML glitches. I do not reccomend setting out to fix all the glitches on several pages of internet space in the space of one sitting. But, it's done, and I don't have to worry about it anymore.
In other news, there are three new pieces in Akaitsuki's Gallery (you know, mine). One is just the "Post on the Tagboard" drawing with the words on, but the other two are amusing photos I took at Six Flags. So, like I've said before, check it out.
On top of that, there's a new Invasion, by Courtney. It's a very, very cute drawing of a cat-girl, and the scan's not half bad. So feast your eyes on its glory.
WAI! Dark Wind Studios is on Google now!!! *does a happy dance* I can't believe it!!! If you don't believe me, go onto Google and do a websearch for "Dark Wind Studios". ^_^;; Heh, it still has the "George did it" subtext, tho'...
Short update...can't think...ja ne.
