Group Anthrax
The people of a world had watched in horror as a strange, blue light traversed their globe like a wave. At first glance, it seemed to harm nothing�until one took a closer look. The �Wave of Destruction�, as some came to call it, was nothing so potent. Cars, buildings, and organisms remained intact; however, when the frightened citizens of their respective countries and cities opened their eyes, the world they had previously known was gone forever. The �Wave� had altered the bodies of some, but not all, and humans found themselves face-to-face with anthropomorphic beings; creatures from legend such as dragons, griffins, elves, fairies, unicorns, kappa, oni, sprites; and beings unlike they had ever imagined. These creatures, their former friends, regarded their new bodies with different combinations of amusement, awe, and abject terror. Some beseeched the still-humans to aid them, many of which regarded their once-human companions with shock, disdain, and revilement. Friendships were shattered and families rent as the fragile bonds that had only just secured most together were dealt a crippling blow.
A flowing thing, not to be staunched by the pleas of a few insignificant beings, Time continued on, forcing the once-humans to reflect upon their fortunes. Some met only the pain of despair. Many became cold and bitter, retreating to specialized groups of their �own kind��and in the midst of all the madness, hatred, betrayal�only a few looked upon their new bodies and saw not a curse, but a boon. These individuals, the minority within this new world, banded together, looking to one another for strength. While so many others were turning upon one another, they maintained a sense of community, companionship, and above all, friendship.
Okay, at this point in the story, that opening up there is sort of a spoiler; but you know what, I don't care. If you want an idea of what's going to be happening even further, go to my gallery and read the first versions of these pages. I'm gonna eat you. Updates go up officially at some time on Tuesdays. Cuz yeah. I'm not spazzing over that.
By the way, Group Anthrax is co-written by me, Kuraitsuki Zare (Jenna Sutter), and Omega Z (Tom Zei); art by Tsuki (that's the same person as "Kuraitsuki Zare", just in case some moron doesn't get it). So, yeah. Use or reproduction of the contents of this comic (and the rest of this site, by the way) without written consent from both Kuraitsuki Zare and Omega Z is strictly forbidden and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Group Anthrax, Chapter One: The Beginning, Page Twelve

Okay, this is a really sub-standard page. Bleargh. But I've gotta start posting more frequently, and it would've taken an even more exorbitant amount of time, and page eleven was put up July 2. It's the twenty third now. Soooo...a sub-par page.
I did discover that I do indeed like page eleven, tho'. ^_^ That makes me happy, I was afraid it would suck. ^_^ But it didn't! Mmmhmm...
I actually had this page done the twenty first (points at the date on the pic, "SEE! SEE!?")...but then when I went to put it up, I realized that some of the shit from the last layout we had, the Lain one ages ago, was still here. So, I started deleting it, then ran out of time and had to do something else. Like now I have ten minutes until I've gotta leave for work. 'Cuz it's 10:33 right now.
Um, I've started hand-writing the dialogue (again), haven't done that since the Shorts. Yeaaaahhh...I dunno. Blah.
