Page Eight: Eagle and Girl

So. An eagle and a girl. From back when I was ridiculously patriotic for no reason. Eh, I blame propaganda. So, this is another picture where it's glaringly obvious that I did stuff on the verso of pages, thus making them hard to see. Oh, I was the bane of my art teachers for this, I can tell you! Hehe. I was so set on trying to fill every page of this sketchbook (which is one of those multiple-subject notebooks, by the way, so epically massive), and my mom was all, "DRAW ON GOOD PAPER!!!11!!12" and I was all, "No, I wanna finish this one!" and then my teacher, Kathy, was all, "Dude. Draw on good paper," and I'm all, "...okay." And then I got a good sketchbook. And then years later, I stopped showing my mom my art, and that pissed her off, let me tell you! And now I still don't show her shit, but I've got it on the interwebs. On a site I have never told her about. Good times, good times.
Anyway, the fact that the girl here has curly hair is interesting. It means I was drawing Daine, from Tamora Pierce's Immortals series. Which, is interesting, cuz I woulda guessed I was older than fourth/fifth grade when I read the first book of that quartet. Well, curly-haired girl that's supposed to be Daine shows up later as well. Huzzah. Um, eagle. She was prolly supposed to have turned into it. Cuz that's the way my mind works. Eh, I have vague memories of that being the case.
Disclaimer
I do not own Sonic the Hedgehog, Shadow the Hedgehog, Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Kurt Wagner/Nightcrawler, Harry Potter, Deamon/Derick, or any affiliated characters. I just tend to draw them, it's fun. Please don't sue me, I have no money as it is. All other characters, however, are © myself, Flickerfly Zare, however.
